This is Revision 1.20 of CSA's Call Back System. It has
finally been released. There are several NEW FEATURES in
this version so BE SURE TO READ THE MANUAL!!!! It explains
what is required to make CBS work with your system. There
is a lot of flexibility in the LOCAL.CTL file so be sure
you understand what you want and how to do it before you
put CBS online. We cannot be responsible for Long Distance
charges you incurr because of misunderstanding the
instructions. Help is always available at the support BBS
thru Fido Net address 1:322/235 or 1:114/70.
Also included with this release is CBSINSTAL.EXE. This is
the program you need to use to change or install the
CONFIG.DAT file. It will create a file if one cannot be
found BUT YOU MUST ENTER IN THE DEFAULTS for YOUR SYSTEM...
All features in CBSINSTAL are now supported. Including
Resumebbs and Dupe Check. There is also a switch for LOCAL
COLOR DISPLAY. This changes only the local display. If the
user has GRAPHICS turned on for him He will still see color
graphics. Only the LOCAL DISPLAY is affected by this
switch.
As with any program newly released there may be BUGS.
Heaven forbid... I need to know about them as soon as
possible so I can squash them. There may be some problems
supporting certain non-standard modems. Let me know exactly
what is happening or not happening so I can see what I can
do to fix the problem. A lot of times it is just something
really simple and the fix takes no time at all.
Registered users get priority support when it comes to bugs
and problems. We personnally think it is an excellent
program and will support it as such.
For those interested... CSA_DEVELOP echo is available for
picking up from either 1:322/235 or 1:114/70. Just notify
either system that you wish to carry the echo and you will
be set up for it. This echo will be for supporting CSA
products, such as the "CBS" program and for discussions
concerning the developement of other software packages. We
will be entering it onto the Backbone, just as soon as
possible.
Thanks Again for trying CBS and we hope you enjoy it...
